MC Construction Appointed to £200M Framework

May 18th 2018

MC Construction has been appointed to a new £200m framework.

Construction Impact Framework is the agent for Safe Regeneration, a Bootle-based not-for-profit company.

CIF is an ethically-driven procurement vehicle which was established in 2015.

It acts as a one-stop shop for NHS Foundation Trusts, universities, housing associations and local authorities, and has a track record of investing in community services that relieve pressure on frontline public services.

The framework will cover work in sectors including housing, health, community care, education and local government across the north west, Yorkshire and Humberside, Wales and Scotland.

MC Construction has been appointed to carry out construction and refurbishment projects with a value of up to £10m.

David Lowe, managing director of MC Construction, said:

'We are delighted to be appointed to Construction Impact Framework, which makes a real difference to the lives of people across the region by helping communities to become safer, stronger, healthier and economically active.'

'These social values reflect those of our own business, and we fully support CIF's commitment to helping the public sector to save money via its investment strategy.'

'We are proud to be working with CIF and look forward to a long and successful partnership.'

CIF is the latest major framework appointment for MC Construction.

The company recently won a place on a new public sector framework which will see it carry out design and build projects worth up to £2m across Greater Manchester and other areas of the north west.

The appointment by STAR Procurement, a shared procurement service for Stockport, Trafford and Rochdale, will see MC Construction undertake refurbishments, extensions and new-build schemes across the education, healthcare and transport sectors and for government departments and agencies.

MC Construction also has places on frameworks with the University of Manchester, Manchester Airport, Salford City Council, Cheshire East Council and Royal Mail.
