Continuous learning and development
Open to all employees across the business, our regular ‘MC Academy’ sessions ensure that we upskill employees, transfer knowledge and share best practice across the business. Developed under our Project 50 business plan ahead of our 50th anniversary year, the academy assists in progressing our objectives of constantly delivering excellence, being a great place to work and being fit for the future.
MC Academy encompasses both internal events and external courses. Our in-house, hour-long sessions include quarterly business updates from our directors covering business results, contracts awarded and project updates including any lessons learnt. Additionally, we run regular, themed seminars for specified departments. Sessions are mandatory for that department but are open to anyone who wishes to broaden their understanding outside of his or her role. MC Academy is also connected to a network of construction industry and general skills training offered across the North West.
