Key challenges: Carrying out rooflight replacement works to a fragile roof during adverse weather conditions; controlling a number of trades spread across a large site
Unit M1 is a 100,000 square foot warehouse located on Heywood Distribution Park in Greater Manchester. Following the completion of a previous lease the property’s owners commissioned a refurbishment project ahead of placing the unit back on the market.
Works included;
- Replacement of the existing rooflights to improve natural light throughout the warehouse
- Installation of new cladding to the front elevation
- Cleaning and painting the existing cladding on all other elevations
- Replacement of all RWP and downpipes
- Rationalisation of M&E services
- Replacement of dock levellers and loading doors
- Demolition of existing offices and welfare facilities and construction of new
- Refurbishment of an existing office block and welfare facilities
- External refurbishment works including the construction of a new access road and parking facilities
